Send us a full draft of your work in a Microsoft Word document. This is to enable us determine how long it will take us to review and edit your document. At this stage, we will also determine which of the Service Package might be most appropriate.

Advise us of any expected deadline..

Alongside sending your document, please advise us of any expected deadline or timeframe which you are required to meet. Please note that any work required to be completed in less than five (5) business days will be deemed “urgent work” and an additional fee will apply.

Advise us of the type of Service..

In your email, also advise us of the type of Service or Package you require (i.e., Substantive, Copy editing, or Proof reading).

We reply within 2 to 3 business days..

Within 2 to 3 business days we will reply you with our quote based on the package or service you have advised us you require.

Note:

At this stage we may advise you to consider a different package (for example, you advise a proof reading and we advise you to consider a substantive editing.) We will provide you with a basis for our suggestion. Our quote will include how many hours we estimate it would take to provide the advised service and total amount.

Also called Content or Structural editing. This is to ensure that the style, content and structure of the document is suitable for the intended audience. This includes length, language and tone.

Copy Editing

This does not involve substantive rewriting and the goal is to achieve consistency, clarity and accuracy of the document.

Proof Reading

This is checking that the document is ready for submission or publication. Here, the document is checked to ensure that all spellings or punctuation errors are deleted, the documents are in proper order and following recommended style and guidelines.
